Do not assume that your child's current performance represents their potential.

Rhoda explains why truly individualized instruction looks beyond completed work and correct answers to understand how a child is thinking.

Focused preparation for the entrance exam your child will actually take.

Applying to Grade 3

Primary 3 ISEE

Age appropriate preparation in reading and mathematics for young applicants.

  • Question language and careful listening
  • Reading meaning and mathematical thinking
  • Accuracy, confidence and test familiarity

Applying to Grade 4

Primary 4 ISEE

Focused reading and mathematics preparation with growing independence.

  • Comprehension and relationship recognition
  • Flexible mathematical reasoning
  • Strategy use and test readiness
Consistency is part of the method.

Every placement begins with an initial four week enrollment. When the placement is a strong fit, instruction continues in 12 week enrollment periods. Students meet for two recurring 45 minute sessions each week, with tuition billed weekly.

A young child's entrance exam should not be taught like SAT preparation.

A score shows which answers were right or wrong. It does not explain how your child interpreted the question, why a strategy changed or where their thinking became less efficient.

Rhoda observes that process in real time, then adjusts the language, model, pacing or strategy so your child can understand what to do when the next problem looks different.

01

Interpret language

Identify what the question means before selecting an answer.

02

Construct meaning

Connect details, relationships and ideas instead of reading mechanically.

03

Reason mathematically

Understand quantities and relationships instead of relying only on procedures.

04

Adjust strategies

Recognize when an approach needs to change and choose a better one.
